Waylon Jennings – Live 1975 – Sugarloaf, Maine 8/2/78

In my opinion there’s nothing better to usher in the summer than some rowdy and raucous outlaw country (OK, well maybe Neil Young too). So in that spirit here is a damn fine Waylon show from 1975. Now let’s take a look at that date. Waylon had just released what some call his greatest album (that’s not made up of Billy Joe Shaver songs :P ) Dreaming My Dreams, and was on the verge of releasing the album that would shoot him into popular culture along with Willie Nelson, the seminal Wanted! The Outlaws. That’s the backdrop of this show……if that’s not the peak of his career it is somewhere damn near it. Great sound on this one, great song selections with just a couple technical problems (during Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line and Clyde) that are easy to overlook, especially since you get to hear Waylon talk shit to a guy in the crowd who threw a rock onstage during Bob Wills is Still The King.

  • I don’t know if it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else encountering issues with your blog.
It appears as if some of the written text on your posts are running off the screen. Can somebody else please provide
feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well?
This could be a problem with my internet browser because I’ve had this happen before.
    Appreciate it

I think what you said made a lot of sense. But, think on this,
what if you added a little content? I ain’t saying your content isn’t good.,
but what if you added something that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Waylon Jennings – Live 1975 – Sugarloaf, Maine 8/2/78
